Prologue intro.3-1

It has been several days since I left the village where the survivors had gathered.

Although I’d been able to keep records up till the 30th day, recently I’m starting to lose track of time.

After all, there is no night on Earth right now.

Although the situation is still unclear, somehow, sunlight is falling all over the entire Earth.

On this flat, white wasteland, though the feeling of distance is strong, the sensation of time is numbed.

I’ve started to see the bottom of my food and water supply.

Section 14: Battle of Xianyang

You finally arrive at Xianyang. It was a remarkable place when viewed from afar, and now that it’s right before your eyes, your party begins to wonder if it can even be called a city. The outer walls of the city are lined with enough transport rockets to service the entire planet. It is a single city that rules the entire world. A stadium-like structure is at the center of the city, but from its outer appearance, it doesn’t seem to be meant for habitation. From the city’s design, Da Vinci concludes that even if it was inhabited, the population would be far lesser than the city’s size suggests. Given the extent to which Qin has automated its industry – to the extent of using robots as soldiers – Holmes does not think any significant labour force of humans would be required here.

Koyanskaya:

…Well, why don’t you step inside, and see for yourself.

You’ll understand the nature of this Lostbelt’s civilization at first glance.

With that said, it doesn’t seem like they’re going to open up the gates for us nicely.

Shi Huangdi:
Hohou, just when I had felt a peculiar spiritron reading, it appears to be just as I have thought.
You Servants, so it seems you are able to move in spirit form?

Jing Ke:
Knowing that, you ordered your guards to retreat, has Shi Huangdi’s blade gotten too dull?

Section 16: Crimson Beauty Under the Moon

Holmes:
So this is the Palace of Treasures….such artifacts beyond our wildest imaginations

Da Vinci:
Wow! If not because of our situation right now, we could have spent 3 days and 3 nights just inspecting around!

Koyansukaya:
What you're looking here are the expedition results from the Xian world exhibited in this one huge corridor. The sample of the barks and leaves of Fusang Tree should be right here… Ahh yes, this this. Yes now if you excuse me I'm going to borrow this. Yes, what's left would be to utilize the formula to harmonize the ingredients if you know how to, and 5 minutes is all you'll need. Now, I guess we're done with what we need to do here, how about we join our hands and pay our respects considering we're all the way here? Fusang Tree I mean. The tree should be moved and located at the deepest level after extracted it from the Xian world.

Continuing off from your departure from Russia, the Shadow Border receives a transmission from The Wandering Sea, Baldanders.

Meuniere:
Atmospheric analysis, completed. Nitrogen, oxygen, argon, carbon dioxide, standard values clear. The atmospheric mana is about the same density as that of the 21st century. No harmful properties were found.

Gordolf:
Hmph. Though the outside is a disconcerting blank white, at least the air seems to be normal. If that’s the case, we can stop the Border, and take a look at the outside.
Don’t you think so, Guda? Surely you must be intrigued by this dreary scenery? No?
Hahaha, my thoughts exactly you youngster! First we should breathe in the outdoor air, followed by the provisions―

Gordolf starts off the meeting by asking Da Vinci to give the briefing. She gives the report on your current situation: it has now been 20 hours since Sigurd’s attack. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, a deadly result was averted. However, there are still problems ahead. Sigurd had taken the Paper Moon from you.

That’s right! The Paper Moon, of all things!

You ask Gerda about the Fantasy Tree and the unnaturally large sun, but she is ignorant of either. It’s the first she’s ever heard of such big trees, and as far as she knows, the sun has always been this size. For her, the current state of things, such as mountains being covered in frost and flame, is natural and unchanging.

Mashu doesn’t seem too pleased with the answer. Gerda picks up on it and quickly apologizes for not being able to provide a satisfactory answer, though Mashu reassures her that it’s okay. Picking the herbs comes first. Gerda happily says it’s not too far off. As she runs ahead again with Fou, Mashu whispers to you.

Prologue:

There are no Rulers in this Great Grail War. One Ruler has not been summoned because this war will not affect the world, and another Ruler is already dead. There will be no new Rulers called.

This world is just a remnant, repeating over and over until a miracle is recreated and glory is achieved.

You have been called by Fafnir because you are the Master who restored the Human Order. Fafnir used the power of the Holy Grail to summon you in the form of a dream. Right now you are akin to a spiritual body. Your original self is still travelling in the Shadow Border.

You ask Fafnir for an explanation and he says it's a bit hard to explain. Fafnir: "…it's a bit too complicated… wait a bit, let me organize my thoughts, I'm gonna sort out an explanation…"

First he explains how you're currently in the Far Side of the world, where phantasmal species have come to rest. The Human Order envelops the planet like a cloth and establishes the world humanity lives in. If the Human Order is disrupted, phantasmal species may appear there. Guda: "So it's like… in the middle of a conversation, suddenly, wyverns." Fafnir: "Yup, yup, that's right."

Currently this place is in crisis because of the Greater Grail that Fafnir brought. It's damaged from a certain NP but Fafnir says it was fine until one day it suddenly broke. Fafnir: "Somehow, even though I didn't do anything, it broke." Guda: "That's what the culprit usually says."

Inside the Greater Grail, Holy Grail Wars have started up. Over 10,000 wars have been waged. The first battle had 2 Servants duking it out, the 567th had 4, and in the 2330th repetition they got to 7. Fafnir's control over the Greater Grail is also slipping. He thinks someone is interfering in order to get their hands on the Grail.

Jack and Fran high-five each other when Astolfo is beaten. Jack: "Yaay!"

Even though you've won, Sieg is unsteady on his feet. He says that his control over the Grail has dropped even further. Defeating the enemy Servants and recruiting them seem to have nothing to do with the rate at which his control is being eroded, it seems. Someone else is trying to get their hands on the grail.

Jack: "If they really want it that much then why don't we just give it to them? You're not a Servant, so there's no need to push yourself, right?"

Sieg: "There was a Servant who wanted to fulfil their wish with this Greater Grail. And I was the one who stopped that from happening. So… yeah, I have to take responsibility here."

Jack doesn't really understand it, but she pities Sieg and says that his life must be terrible. Sieg isn't that fussed. For him, it was short but fun.

Buoyant with victory, Mordred turns to you. Mordred: "Guda, your hand! Gimme your hand!"

You do as she says. Mordred grabs your hand and goes: "WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER! Yahoo!" before running off. Sieg asks if your hand is alright. It seems to still be attached, so it's probably fine.

Spartacus finally arrives too, having climbed all the way up using a rope. Spartacus: "It is a rope fitting for rebellion." When you ask if he's able to fight, he replies: "Rebelling against oppression is my love and my strength!"

As predicted, even though dawn has come again, the Hanging Gardens have not disappeared. Sieg says Semiramis must have been defeated and respawned on your side. Semiramis herself has mostly gotten a grasp on what is going on.

Semiramis: "Administrator, it was your negligence that led to this situation… was it not?"

Mordred complains about the number of Servants that the enemy is producing, and Chiron says that it's probably so that the enemy can exploit class advantages by using all seven classes. Still, if they can do that, so can you. Chiron asks you and Sieg to pick the fitting class and method of attack to deal with the enemy.

Semiramis gives you permission to wreck the place since these Gardens aren't really her Gardens. Avicebron quickly goes: "Then I won't hold back and turn the walls into golems." Guda: "Please don't do that to the floor!"

Mordred is confused and needs Fran to explain to her that all she needs to do is just wreck stuff.

Atalante: "You, did you need the Berserker to explain that to you?"

Mordred: "Shut up, exhibitionist (strong)!"

Back at the rebel fort, Atalante is ordering the food to be brought into the warehouse. The food is to be divided into perishables and non-perishables, and the former are to be given to children and the elderly. Atalante also tells the non-combatants to get ready to treat the wounded.

Avicebron:

I'm bad with the sight of human blood, so I'll go back to fixing up the golems. The golems can take over guard duties so it would be better for all of the Yaga to rest at this moment.

Atalante thanks Avicebron. He tells her to think nothing of it, but mentions that he has complex feelings about the matter. The only thing he says about the matter, when asked, is that he feels that this is a strange turn of fate, and that is all.

>Enkidu's interlude was actually written by Narita, he made some twitter posts about it. Really hoping he does well in the future.
Also, Enkidu's interlude reveals a new NP: Age of Babylon. Not sure what it does exactly.
An anon on /fgog/ also translated a little bit of Enkidu's dialogue from this scene:

"… and once he's tired of walking this planet, he'll surely head for the far reaches of space someday"
Did you want to go with him? To space?
"…. I wonder. I am a system that lives with this planet."
"However, if there exists a person that would walk the stars with Gil, perhaps I would entrust them with some form of wish."
"May the fragments of the road Gil and I once walked, illuminate the ends of the skies they are headed for, if even a little"
Thats all I got

AoB is apparently Enkidu's brand of GoB. The attack he used on Gil in SF.

As requested by nazy

Some info from Korean website Source

So, in Fate's lore, Hokusai is artist who's considered "possessed by God", and Hokusai, by some accident, met an Abyssal(?) God through a hole opened up by an Evil God.

It was apparently that Hokusai, while collecting books here and there to further enhance the artistic skill, got ahold of a Magical Book(?) that led to the accident.

The octopus beside the girl's the actual Hokusai, and the girl's Hokusai's daughter. Third ascension is the fusion of father Hokusai and daughter Hokusai.

The reason two were summoned together was because they created many arts using the same name "Hokusai", and thus, they count as 2 in 1 servant.

Just to make sure, Hokusai didn't sell the soul to the Evil God or something like that. It was just that after seeing the Evil God, Hokusai found nothing special about the God, so he/she decided to draw the God his/herself.(I have no idea if it's father or daughter Hokusai)

Explained by BB, Foreigner's "the Descended from False God", qualified by those who didn't lose purity while losing sanity or those who overcame that insanity…. or something like that.

Hokusai Event TL

It’s a dream (assumed to be Hokusai’s) where servants are forced into the roles of various people, though BB just shrugs this off entirely as she’s resistant to that sort of thing.

BB also complains about how she doesn’t have much screentime because if she got serious she’d resolve everything instantly. Suzuka asks her to leave more info about Foreigners but BB doesn’t care about anything because she isn’t the main heroine of this route.

After Hiroshige/Mozart is defeated, Da Vinci and the other people start acting odd and says that this dream is Guda’s. Da Vinci says Hokusai’s soul refused to join the throne of heroes because he wanted to keep getting better at his art, and that in life he had obtained a Chinese copy of the R’lyeh text.

Nobunaga says that the God of the Abyss intends to use this dream to access the real world. Guda starts getting corrupted by the dream too, but Hokusai possesses Oui and helps to resist this, saying that he never had any intention if becoming a host for the dark god, and that he saw its face right before he died and can now draw it.

Guda, Suzuka and Hokusai defeat the corrupted people and the aura of the dark god fades away. Hokusai draws up an exit back to Chaldea before seperating from Oui back to Takosuke (the octopus) and they say farewell.

Later Carter and Hokusai meet again. Carter says that A certain demon tried to summon the god of the abyss and failed, but that was enough for said god to perceive Earth and mingle with Hokusai’s soul. The demon has moved on to another attempt, which seems like it may not be the future for Chaldea.

Carter thanks Hokusai saying that he’s surprised that someone who isn’t a Mage or Fallen Saint could control a dark god’s power, but Hokusai says Carter is far more surprising- Carter seems to think of himself as human, but Hokusai thinks he’s a mechanism of the world, or some law of nature.

Guda and Suzuka follow Katsushika Oui around as she looks for her father. Eventually they run into Gilgamesh and BB who explain that Raum opened a hole in the laws of the world allowing something on the other side of the abyss to peer in. That something has decided to use Hokusai as a host. Gilgamesh tells Guda to go home and leave this to him, as it’s a legitimate threat to the human order. Suzuka says that a human should not be able to host a god but BB says that a Foreigner- someone who holds on to their purity even when in madness, or who instead of being consumed by madness is able to consume madness itself, could.

After the fight Gilgamesh laughs and says that he can’t see the future of Oui and her father and thus can’t judge them. The Foreigners now have his interest and he decides to see if they can pierce fate with their will before the human order breaks, and he arranges to have Oui take Hokusai’s place in painting for the shogun the following day.
